Having previously been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my new orchestral piece PROTO-SYMPHONY was finally performed by the London Symphony Orchestra on 8th March as part of the Panufnik Composers Workshop, and will now be streamed on the LSO YouTube channel this Sunday 16th May at 7pm (event page here). The broadcast will also include exciting new pieces from the other composers on the scheme. I wrote an article about the piece, titled “A symphony in three and a half minutes”, which was recently posted on the LSO Blog, and I have been fortunate enough to receive a further LSO commission following the workshop.
