Violinist José Cabrita Matias will be performing my Message-Fragments in Honour of Giles Swayne in St Eanswythe’s Church, Folkestone at 7.30pm on Thursday 9th June. The piece was written for the Royal Academy of Music’s 200 Pieces project and premiered by José at the Academy earlier this year. I’m so pleased it’s getting a repeat performance alongside several other commissions from the same project, including those by Louise Drewett, Gareth Moorcraft, Ruta Vitkauskaite, Hans Abrahamsen, Philip Cashian and more.
