My piece for 12 solo strings, Canzoni et Ricercari, was awarded the Royal Musical Association’s Tippett Medal in January. I talk about the piece in this RMA blog post, and you can listen to the piece and view its score on this website. A new version for string orchestra of Canzoni has also been programmed by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra as part of their 23-24 season. The piece is due to be performed in both Glasgow and Edinburgh and follows on from the premiere of Symphonic Message in memory of L. R. with the same orchestra last September.
